Line Cook/ Head cook is responsible for producing high quality food and to ensure all company, local, state and federal guidelines are following. Line Cook/ Head Cook is responsible for coordination of all food production and assisting in production schedule to be efficient and to meet daily goals. Communication and documentation of tasks completed is required. Quality and Consistency food is produced and packaged following food safely policies. Duties also include cleaning and sanitation tasks.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Produce Quality and Consistent food and follows recipe adherence. Assists in catering. To make sure quality, portion control and food safety are followed at all times. To make sure production documentation is completed and accurate. Assemble food products following established quantities and production sheets. Assists on production line to produce items in a timely and accurate fashion. Preps food as needed for assembly. Completes and uses daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Operates and cleans equipment and work area per departmental procedures. Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy. Assists in inventory. Communicates any problems to appropriate personnel. Follows food safety guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply. Completes all required documentation, reports and logs as required. Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations, as well as departmental sanitation procedures. Completes line checks, prep, cleaning and production in a safe and timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Ability to work a 40 hour plus week. Be on time according to schedule requirements. Ability to follow leadership and assist in any and all aspects of food preparation and production. Servsafe certification. To operate all production equipment. To be cross trained on all production positions. To enforce recipes to be followed and documentation completed accurately. Ability to work standing for full shift. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Ability or willingness to learn new tasks or new recipes. Food protective attire must be worn (hair nets, gloves, beard nets, uniforms, aprons). Able to work with a team and independently depending on the task assigned. Subject to a background check, pre-hiring drug test and random drug screening throughout their time of employment.
